"Focusing on ease of use tends to encourage a narrow view of what ‘use’ is with respect to technology, emphasizing efficiency and productivity over exploration or curiosity."

I chose this quote because it shows how getting tunnel vision towards one part of a project is such a common thing I experience with myself along with working in groups. One experience this reminds me of is when I was creating a mobile app for car meets and finding car shows. I had found out through research that people like having meets displayed on a map around them, so I focused so much on that aspect of the app that I had disregarded so many other parts of the app.

"The rings for the drugsdealer opened interesting possibilities for actions, such as linking importance to placement and delegating through sharing. However, the aesthetics of the rings for the drugsdealer are rather stereotypical."

I chose this quote because I had never really considered it before, but the organization of a drug ring does revolve around a really well designed system of using individual moving parts as a whole. The same concept (minus the drugs) could be applied to group work in most fields where you delegate the work and have everyone work together as a whole. I also found it interesting how the rings are used as communication tools and a similar concept could be non verbal cues in design that signify common things, to avoid too much information in  writing for an audience.

The appointment manager of the polyandrous woman makes use of five circular screens which fold up in a fan-like manner”

I chose this quote because it was a bit odd. The woman using all these screens seems impractical at first but then I thought about seeing people with multiple monitors setups, sometimes up to 6. The same concept applies to what she is doing but just in all directions around her. I am debating what would be a most efficient screen layout, because seeing all the screens in front of you seems most reasonable so it involves less movement, but if it is organized correctly circular screens around someone could be bette
